Salmon Nori Wraps
Makes great finger food for an appetizer. And also meets our standard cooking rule ... maximum impressiveness for minimal work, and super tasty too.
- Cut salmon filet into small rectangles, 3" x 1" x 0.5".
- Mix crushed ginger, half cup of soy sauce (prefer tamari), and 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar.
- Place salmon in a ziploc bag with marinade, put in fridge for an hour or two. (if you're short on time, skip marinating and just drizzle salmon with soy sauce and rub in sugar and ginger)
- Place salmon strips on oiled baking dish.
- Cut strips of nori seaweed (sushi wrap) and place on top and around the sides of salmon pieces.
- Bake at 400 for approximately 10 minutes, depending on thickness -- test one piece to ensure it flakes.
- Serves well hot or cold.
- Can be served with wasabi and soy sauce for dipping.
